Do you have a "finish line" in your life right now? Collapsing just five meters before the finish line and crawling to the end, sixteen-year-old Holland Reynolds stunned onlookers who watched her determined crawl. Even her coach "was in a complete state of shock" at what she did. She was running in California's cross-country state championships last weekend when she became disoriented and collapsed. Her finish helped her team take first place in the state championships.
Aside from her desire to finish the race, she said of her coach Jim Tracy, who suffers from Lou Gherigs disease "Deep down, it was definitely for Jim and for my team". Coach Tracy, inspired by her determination said, "If a kid, whose as great an athlete as she is, and as fit as she is won't give up, then I'm not!"
May you be blessed, like Holland, to complete what you feel you need to complete. May you be able to sift the important from the unimportant and simplify your life.
